01 / CONTEXT

The starting point of the challenge

ElectroPower is an industrial electrical services company with extensive experience serving companies like Edenor, Edesur, YPF, and Grupo Galán. Despite its track record and the caliber of its clients, the business practically didn't exist online. They had no website, no portfolio, no professional presence of their own. New clients came exclusively through word of mouth. If someone searched for industrial electrical installation services in their area, the company simply wouldn't appear. We wanted to solve this without imposing a system they wouldn't use.
02 / RESEARCH

Digging beneath the surface: What did I investigate?

We analyzed local competitors, industrial installers, and contractor technical services in the Northern Zone. We discovered that the majority depended entirely on social media or used outdated WordPress templates. Almost no one showed real completed work: they only listed services in theory. The interfaces were slow, confusing, and poorly optimized for mobile. But the most important insight was understanding that the real channel where all business communication happened (coordination, quotes, inquiries) was WhatsApp. Trying to replace that flow with ticket forms or CRMs would create unnecessary friction. The website shouldn't replace WhatsApp. It should feed it with better-informed clients.

INSIGHT REVEALED
THE SYNTHESIS

"In the industrial services sector, the real product being sold is trust. The client isn't hiring a website: they're hiring electricians to work on infrastructure that cannot fail. The website, then, had to serve as empirical evidence. It wasn't enough to say "we're reliable": we had to show completed projects and the clients they already worked for (Edenor, Edesur) to build immediate credibility. WhatsApp was the non-negotiable final destination for all contact channels. There was no point in fighting the business's natural flow."

Understanding this pillar completely transformed the tactical direction of the project, allowing unnecessary noise to be filtered out and focusing on strict value.

03 / TACTICS

Tradeoff Analysis: options on the table

Building custom software requires honestly evaluating scenarios. No architecture is perfect — every decision has a price:

OPTION 1
Social media-only campaigns

Advantage: low cost and quick implementation. Disadvantage: no organic visibility on Google, no control over data, and no proprietary institutional presence.

OPTION 2
WordPress with a generic template

Advantage: easy content editing. Disadvantage: zero brand differentiation, plugin dependency, and compromised performance.

OPTION 3
Custom-built optimized website

Advantage: proprietary corporate identity, absolute code control, optimal local SEO, and structured real portfolio. Disadvantage: longer initial development time.

04 / DETERMINATION

The Decision: The path chosen

We designed and developed a custom website focused on generating immediate trust. We structured the page around a detailed catalog of technical services (installations, industrial maintenance, refrigeration) complemented by a visual portfolio of completed projects with real photographs. We implemented WhatsApp redirection from service CTAs, the contact form, and a persistent floating button. The Hero buttons guide users toward the services and contact sections, where the conversation flows naturally to WhatsApp. To maintain a solid visual experience without penalizing performance, we applied subtle animations with GSAP only on the Hero and contact section, keeping the rest of the site light and fast. The entire website was designed to load quickly and rank well in local searches.

WHAT ACTUALLY WORKED

The site dramatically transformed the business's perception, positioning it visually at the level of the large companies it was already serving. The portfolio of completed projects proved to be the highest-converting section: clients could see the quality of the work before reaching out. The WhatsApp flow was adopted immediately with no training needed. And excellent local indexing was achieved, putting the company on the map for relevant searches in its area.

LIMITATIONS & TRADE-OFFS

By building the site without a CMS, any portfolio update or text change requires developer intervention. It was a deliberate decision for simplicity and performance, but it sacrificed client autonomy. We also didn't integrate heavy analytics scripts to keep performance impeccable, which limits behavioral data collection. And the visual scope was kept conservative: we didn't want to impose an overly "agency" aesthetic on an industrial business where sobriety and seriousness are assets.

FROM GONZALO'S PERSONAL LOGBOOK: WHAT WOULD I DO DIFFERENTLY TODAY?

"I would implement a lightweight headless CMS that doesn't penalize speed but gives the client autonomy to update project photos without depending on us. And I would add a simple analytics panel focused on WhatsApp conversions to measure real ROI without invasive tracking."
